Bula, I'm Akili Namuaira, and I founded Outrigger Financial because I saw too many Pasifika and Māori families struggling to navigate the financial system in New Zealand.
With Fijian and Tongan heritage, I grew up understanding the importance of whānau, community, and looking after each other. But I also saw how confusing and intimidating the world of insurance, KiwiSaver investments and mortgages can be, especially when the advice does not reflect our values or speak our language.
That is why I became a financial adviser. Not to work for big banks or insurance companies, but to serve our communities directly. To provide advice that is culturally aligned, easy to understand, and genuinely focused on what is best for you and your family.

Licensing and how we are paid
Outrigger Financial Service Limited is a licensed financial advice provider in New Zealand, Financial Service Provider number FSP1009635.
For most services there is no cost to you. We are paid commission by the product provider when you take up a recommendation, and we tell you what that commission is before you decide anything. The full detail is in our public disclosure statement.
